The New York Giants coast into their week 9 bye week with a 4-4 record. This result is well below the organizations expectations. All of the losses have helped the team grow and prepare them for the second half of the season, especially the ones with the Eagles and Vikings, both resulting in 3 pt time expiring losses. One of the losses in perticular was bogus. In week 2 playing the first owner of the Broncos, the Giants were leading 17-14 with the ball, in FG range and less than 4 min remaining in the game...the Broncos owner, knowing a loss was imminent, pulled the plug on his console, resulting in loss of connection and ruled "do over". While the Giants were ready to restart, reluctantly (comishoners ruling), immediately, the Broncos made up an excuse to put of the game so they could review the game footage and ensure a cheese victory. The Giants will get a chance at redemption immediately after the bye, with another shot at the division rival Cowboys, who handily beat the Giants in week 1 31-10.
One thing is for sure...going 4-4 again in the second half will surely leave the Giants on the outside looking in and that is simply not acceptable.
