Texans stifling defense led by JJ Watt.
Texans Start Off Hot
The Texans vaunted defense didn't disappoint versus the #2 offense last week. Amassing 10 sacks and 4 interceptions, Houston proved it wasn't a weak schedule keeping the loss column empty. With Pryor, Megatron, and the Jaguars up next, can this dream season continue?

Competition heats up in the AFC South.
Will The Playoffs Run Through The AFC South?
Through 5 weeks no division may be more exciting than the AFC South. The Houston Texans lead the division with a 5-0 start led by a dominating defense, and even took out the previously undefeated San Diego Chargers with ease. With Terelle Pryor leading the way, the Jacksonville Jaguars have picked up where they left off with last year's division win to start out 4-1. The new pieces on the Indianapolis Colts have also meshed together nicely, and strong early showing by the defense has led Indy to a 4-1 start as well. Only the winless Titans aren't dominating in this division, but with multiple losses to division opponents and an owner disappearing for vacation, the record can at least be understood in context and the team cannot be overlooked by opponents seeking an easy victory. The AFC South has already been exceeding expectations after a manic past few seasons, and with division games spread throughout the season and tough schedules for the 3 teams that have started so strong, it only looks to get better from here on out.

Kaepernick threw for 406 yards and 5 tds through the air.
New Owner Impresses
New owner Shaineo and his jets off to a nice start at 4-1. They are currently the 5th ranked offense with 31 ppg. Colin Kaepernick leads this team to victory along with Victor Cruz, Tavon Austin, and Luke Kuechly to anchor his defense. His defense is going to have to step it up if he has championship ambitions as he is sitting with the 2nd most yards allowed per game. Time will tell if they have what it takes.
