Super Bowl XII RecapEvery NFL expert predicted a close game in MEFL Bowl XII between the Falcons and the Jets, but Chrebet1024 and the Jets came away with a 31-6 victory over ORTIZ_23 in the snow in New Jersey on Sunday Night. The Jets remarkably fumbled 4 times (losing 3) in the 1st Half, however overcame it. The game was close throughout until the 3rd Quarter in which CJ Spiller, who earned Super Bowl MVP honors, ran wild. He finished the game with 216 yards on 23 carries and 3 TD's. The Falcons had no answers all game against the Jets offense. Just as equally important was the lack of rushing on Atlanta's side. Coming off a huge effort in the NFC Title game, DeMarco Murray could not get things going all game as Bobby Wagner and the Jets #1 ranked defense continued to shut him out. Chrebet1024 feels very fortunate to have gone through both Ortiz Brothers en route to his first Title. Especially after only beating Heady338 and the Jags 20-17 on a last second FG in the Divisional Round. You know what they say about Championship runs, that each champion always has that one game that they have to struggle through, that one moment that was so close to going the other way, well that moment was against the Jags in that game.
ORTIZ_23 Comes Up A Little ShortThis Super Bowl marked the 4th time in MEFL History that ORTIZ_23 has been in the big game. Coming into MEFL Bowl XII, ORTIZ_23 has 2 Championships under his belt and was looking to become the 2nd owner to ever reach Championship #3 (Zeemen). But it was not to be, as chrebet1024 and the Jets overcame some early struggles to pick up his first title. With the likes of Sam Bradford, DeMarco Murray, Calvin Johnson and Brian Cushing, this has the making of a team that will get right back there in 2014.
MEFL Enters A New EraNovember of 2013 will mark a new era for MEFL, and Madden. With the introduction of PS4, both MEFL Leagues (Fantasy Roster and Default Roster) will be moving to PS4). Our current PS3 leagues will live on at Twisted Mayhem. The biggest change that I see coming is the new era of scouting and game planning. The way we've always played has been completely "Blind." What I mean by that is all games that you are not involved in are not available for your viewing pleasure. So teams can take advantage of that and continuously run the same game plans game after game and get away with it. Not anymore. PS4 will allow big time sharing and allow us to make available most of our games to Owners can view them if they want to. Hopefully this will be able to be done in a "time saving" way so it will be realistic.
