Dolphins Wins 6th Straight, Beat Panthers
Heartless_16 and the Miami Dolphins beat chicaliqc and the Panthers by the score of 30-27 on Sunday. This huge win marks the Fins 6th straight, as they move to 7-4 and are currently battling Cincy, Baltimore, Houston and Jacksonville for 2 AFC Wild Card spots. Balance was the key for the Dolphins as they rushed for 131 and passed for 233. Ryan Matthews, who's currently on the NFL's projected All-Pro Team, led the team with 133 yards on the ground and Carson Palmer was very economical throwing for 233 yards on only 18 attempts. Chicaliqc and the Panthers could not get the ground game working all day and despite RG3 going for over 300 yards through the air, lost by 3 in the end. Miami has skyrocketed all the way to #10 in the Power Rankings, and next up for them will be the 11-0 New York Jets. Will Don Shula and those 72 Dolphins be getting the champaigne ready this Sunday?
An Instant Classic
With only 30 seconds left in Overtime, the New York Jets kicked the game winning field goal to beat the Ravens by the score of 16-13. Who say's Defense is dead in Madden? There were only 2 TD's scored in this one as we saw the top 2 ranked defenses destroy the offenses for almost 5 Quarters. Just check out some of these numbers.....Jets had 105 rushing yards and 187 passing yards while Ravens had 38 rushing yards and 124 passing yards. C-May did a tremendous job at creating turnovers as chrebet1024 turned it over 4 times as opposed to C-May's 1. The players of this game were the 2 safeties on each team, which both players usually User. Chris Sentef for the Jets finished with 10 solo tackles while Laron Landry on the other side finished with 8. Both these guys were flying all over the place as the offenses had no answers. Chrebet1024 considers himself very lucky to have walked out of there with a victory.
Jags Win Shootout
The Jaguars, led by heady338, visited DatBoyFromTexas and the Houston Texans this past weekend and came away with a 41-34 victory. The 2nd Quarter proved huge for the Jags in this AFC South match-up as they scored 24 big points. Both Stafford and Taylor threw for over 300 yards in this one but the most glaring stat was the less than stellar production of LeSean McCoy. The Jags held the AFC Player of the Year front runner to only 31 yards rushing as Daryl Washington was a huge factor. He had a game high 7 tackles and 4 of them for loss. The Jags currently sit at 8-3 and are currently at #6 in the Power Rankings.
