AFC Title Game PreviewWhile the NFC Title Game is the "Game of the Week," the AFC Title Game lost it on a coin flip. This will mark the 1st ever time that Chrebet and Oritz25 play each other in the Playoffs. The career series between these 2 guys is tied at 1, so this rubber match will determine the AFC Champions. The Jets really want to get this one, as if they win, this will mark the 1st time in the History of the NFL that a team will play in it's Home Stadium for the Super Bowl. But for that to happen, Russell Wilson needs to bounce back off of his terrible performance last week vs the Jags. Lamar Miller has a ridiculous week last week, and with the threat of him on the ground and Kaepernick through the air, the NFL's #1 ranked defense during the season will have their hands full. It's On!
Jets Squeak It OutThe Jacksonville Jaguars came into Met Life Stadium for their Divisional Round Game this past weekend, and almost escaped with a thrilling come from behind win. From the very beginning it was easy to see that it would be a game dominated by defense. The Snow Fall was huge!!! Both Russell Wilson and Tyrod Taylor were just plain terrible through the air. Wilson had at least 5 opportunities to hit a wide open deep ball, as the Jags continuously challenged him to do so, and he could not take advantage. The Jets Defense forced 3 turnovers and the Jags forced 2. The game was tied at 3 for most of the 1st half until finally the Jets broke through to score the first TD of the game. The leas stretched to 17-3 in favor of the Jets in the 4th Quarter, but that's when the Jags Defense held strong and allowed their offense to make a ridiculous comeback. The Read Option was the story of this game on both sides. It opened up holes for both Bryce Brown and C.J. Spiller all day. Bryce Brown scored the tying TD with about 2 minutes left in the game. The Jets were fans were shocked, but Russel Wilson and C.J. Spiller brought the Jets down the field on the final drive. The picked a key 1st down to run the clock all the way to 4 seconds in which Greg the leg Zerlein kicked the chip shot game winner.
Chiefs RollOffense was the story of the game between the Chiefs and the Bengals this past weekend. Final score was 62-49 in favor of the Chiefs as they move on to the AFC Title Game. Colin Kapernick did his usual thing throwing for 163 yards and a score, however the player of this one was Chiefs RB Lamar Miller. He finished with a ridiculous 226 yards and 4 TD's. Will Ortiz25 continue to unleash Miller next week against Bobby Wagner and the Jets?
