Week 2 Top Stories

Cam Newton Is #1
The Honor of being the #1 Pick in the 1st ever NFL Fantasy Draft goes to QB Cam Newton as the Atlanta Falcons make him their Franchise QB.  And as we watched Week 1, is wasn't hard to see why the "Dirty Birds" coveted him so much.  Newton led his team to a 31-27 victory over the New Orleans Saints by throwing for 238 yards adn 2 TD's.  Arian Foster was a beast on the ground all day long as he piled up 117 yards and 2 TD's on 19 carries.


Cowboys Strike First
Once the teams filled up and we looked at the MEFL landscape, it was very easy to see that the NFC East was a serious thing.  Stocked with great owners, everybody feels that this division will come down to Week 17.  In Dallas this past Sunday, Str8coach and the Cowboys got a leg up on Flybad and the Giants.  With a final score of 31-10, Rookie EJ Manuel led "Dem Boys" to victory behind 265 yards passing and 3 TD's.  The Giants did a pretty good job stopping the Dallas run game as they held Robert Turbin in check all day long, but Terrelle Pryor and New York could not muster enough offense in this one.  This will be the last we hear of these 2 teams going at it hard this season, I guarantee you that.


Seahawks Impress
One of the more lopsided games this week was Orrca66 and the Seattle Seahawks going into Carolina and defeating DankFaded247 and the Panthers by a 44-7 count.  The star of this one was Cam Chancellor as he put up 7 solo tackes, 2 for loss and 2 sacks.  The Seattle defensed harassed Andrew Luck all day long as they sacked 7 times total.
